why do ppl with lives rate themselves high asfk on a scale of 1-10

started talking to random guy on internet. He is very scared abt doing a face rev. asks me to rate myself on a scale of 1-10

Being realistic I give myself MAX a 4. that might even b a lil hopeful. HE rates himself a 7 on a good day

Face rev time. Not a 7. Not even close. I would like not to be mean to him as he is a great human being. He went on to say I am an 8/10 and "wife material". Blocked him because I am scared of nice men.

I tell ppl I am a 4 and they go NOOOOOO! (biased) but it is true. Why are non 7's so quick to rate themselves so high? They act like anything lower than that is worth roping over.
 
Most people are beyond delusional when it comes to the whole rating systems, I've had subhuman dudes say I should have no problem with the ladies cause I'm "at least a 7 or 8 bro" whilst they think they are average looking and are actually subhuman. People just throw numbers around and never put any thought into it. I have this one acquaintance at school, a legit 4 on a good day, and he said " bro I'd be happy with at least a 6, I think I can get a girl like that at least" and I had to explain to him that if I'm not even a 6, then he's fucking delusional.

I mean lately ive seen a surge of stacy's getting with literal low tier guy, maybe he's got a chance where he's at. the guys my attractive friends date r insane looking

i mean ur not wrong but i felt like i was being realistic. he obvi overrated me bc I had makeup on and was probably the first female to listen to him talk for hours about numerical theories. But I see this from women too. I've known girls that overrate themselves like crazy even tho their bmi is thru the roof and they smell like buns. I feel like atp its beyond gender

Some ppl are just autistic as fuck. They usually get their ratings from asking around instead of how ppl treat and respond to them. They also dont consider the legitimacy of compliments.

Also environment. Actually attractive ppl are rare so someone with like one or two good features can just get plastered into the 7-8 category.
 
well normies just rate differently bc they’re bluepilled. everyone knows no one would like to be rated below average which is >5 to them, they don’t even like being average either which is 5-6 to them. this is why normies usually call themselves a 7.

THIS IS WHAT I WAS TRYING TO TELL HIM. It is insanely hard to get an objective opinion so ofc all ur bros r gonna say yesss dude ur an 8! U mog !!!! It's even worse with girls. They will most definitely not fucking tell you. When I was at my highest weight ppl were telling me I looked good, spoiler, I did not
