This is a thread responding to @trueceljester 's thread about why thumbpulling "doesnt work". I might be falling for a ragebait, or im just too proud to admit that im wrong, but thats not the case. Ill put the link of his thread at the end of this post.

Background of whats going on:
So november 11 of last year i decided to make a thread o thumbpulling, where i taught the (what i believe) best and safest way to do tp (thumbpulling). In this thread i covered why does it work and 2 excercises to expand your palate. After posting it i got some hate but nothing out of this world, but anyways people in the comment section like @Marlonmogsyouhaha tried to debunk me (and no one could), also i should metion @trueceljester did not comment in my guide.
Time passed away and well really non of that mattered at the end of the day, but i was working in getting my results going on, since everyone said i was coping, and then in december 5 of the same year i posted my results in tp, where u can see a clear difference between the pics, but that post got almost 0 attention, i had like 1 comment before i bumped it, where this guy trueceljester said he was going to make a thread on me on why tp is cope.
Now, this dude has been basically harassing my ass, since some time now because he has already been around in some comment sections.

Debunk
This is not very hard to debuk since he is not very well informed about what tp is about.
Lets go thru all he said to "debunk" tp:
1. "Thumbpulling is pulling your mouth palette apart with your thumbs" this is true.
2. "they claim "Wolff's law" is the reason thumbpulling works, Wolff's law is"the principle that bones adapt to the stresses placed on them" "
This is also true; the soft tissue of the palate will answer to the constant pressure on the palate, resulting in the palate expanding a few milimeters.
3. "Wolff's law also states that "bones become stronger with increased load and weaker with decreased load"So even if thumbpulling were to "expand your maxilla" (which it doesn't JFL) your maxilla would go back to normal after a bit of time"

In wolff's law, the argument of the bone getting weaker with a less load, talks about how, when u put a less amount of stress (less than an usual amount) the bone will be weaker. For example, astronauts bones are usually found to be weaker since the gravitational force is null, resulting in the bone "adapting" to the weaker stimulation on the bones of the body.
This whole argument is actually bananas. Like, the maxila is answering to a stronger than usual force, so not applying the "more than usual force" means that the palate will just go back to normal since it doesnt have to adapt, not because its responding to a decreased load, because in that case we have to figure that ur maxila is shrinking rather than going back to its original place. wtf.
Lets suppose that u used an mse for a time now and its time to take it off, would ur maxila colapse now since "decreased load=weaker bone"? I think not, since the sutures already adapted and now thats the "original" form of the bone. It would become weaker if u dont chew food, or breathe thru your mouth.
4. "Also the MSE stays expanded once you use the tool so your maxilla can't shrink back" no wonder bro, thats why tp takes much time, you need to constatly expand it until the sutures, your tongue gets used to that position. The consolidation takes longer but it happens.
5. "Most likely their teeth became flared giving the appearance of a "wider palette" because, your teeth are easier to move and fuck up than your maxilla, so your teeth shift from the pulling (not good btw) and only gives you more problems than anything"
Thats why u dont touch your teeth when u do tp. Also, there is mse's that attaches to the teeth ad mollars to expand your palate.
The rest of the post its just talking about other copes, i dont have to do with that.
Conclusion
This guy thought he was into something but he didnt add up a lot to the same ass arguments on why thumbpulling "doesnt work", which i already debunked. He is lowk harassing me since the point of his post was to "make fun of me" (in his words). Anyways, if u got any questions or sum, im happy to help. Thanks for reading.
