this thread is about skin & common things i notice about pplโs skin

skin can change how someone is perceived on my dead pug named teddy. a hmtn but with glowy clear skin can come off way more attractive than someone with better bone structure but horrible skin

good skin can distract people from bad bones (to a degree), it makes the face look softer, healthier, and more pleasant to look at.
BUT

a low high-tier normie w/ flawless skin still gets mogged to death by a chadlite with subpar skin. the bones always win in the end

these are tiny lil dots all over the skin, mostly on the nose, cheeks, or forehead.
they're normal but yeah they still gross me out lol. not smooth = not optimal.

they're like open pores but on steroids(shoutout @BlendedBlade)

gives that dirty appearance even if you wash your face. not sigma, its smegma and needs fixing.

acne is just yucky. it can really descend you hard, especially if it's cystic or covers big areas.
unless ur hmtn+, severe acne is instant subhuman

use a gentle cleanser morning & night
salicylic acid unclogs & exfoliates
retinoids (like adapalene or tretinoin) = GOAT for texture + acne
clay or charcoal masks 1โ2x/week to suck out gunk
look for non-comedogenic products (wonโt clog pores)
and pls for the love of mumbai

open pores are mostly genetic (unlucky ah

BUT you can still minimize their appearance with the clogged pore routine above
exfoliate 2โ3x/week (chemical exfoliants > physical)
niacinamide is great for tightening and controlling oil
consistent skincare = smaller-looking pores over time
not perfect, but can make a visible difference

๐๐ข๐ฅ๐:
cleanser w/ benzoyl peroxide (BPO) or salicylic acid
add a topical retinoid like adapalene
๐๐จ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ญ๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐๐๐ฏ๐๐ซ๐:
might need oral antibiotics (short term use)
accutane is your last hope if ur skin quality is that caca. brutal but effective but you will prob have to start moving like a vampire if u get on ts icl(skin becomes sensitive to sunlight)

once youโve cleared up the junk, maintenance is KEY
get a facial every 3โ6 weeks (helps clear out stubborn stuff + glow up, how long you should wait depends on your skin type)
stay consistent w/ your routine
always remove makeup/sunscreen at night
drink water too, ik itโs clichรฉ but it helps a lil

see a derm. like yeah scrolling on hygiene tiktok is fun but donโt listen to some rando talk about what worked for their skin
dermatologists can give you prescriptions that actually work
save time, money, trial & error
( insurance might cover it too if itโs acne-related )
