I’m not sure if this is narrow or wide palate. Though my dysmorphia makes me feel like it’s obnoxiously wide and masculine, it may just be normal. I can only appreciate my teeth or smile from afar. Even when speaking or resting my mouth open, it’s not just my incisors sticking out, but also my canines…. Entire upper anterior basically rests on my bottom lip. For as long as i’ve been aware of this, I’ve lost confidence when it comes to up close conversation or photos. Well here is the front views and side of my profile. Protruding teeth and mouth area, right? I’d be so much better off without this issue and the side profile of my smile just looks jagged. Especially that fat canine. Neither my dentist nor ortho ever brought this up with me. How horrible of a case might this be and nonetheless, what do I request? Think I wrote too quick and too little so just ask any necessary questions and I’ll answer honestly. IMG_4383.webpIMG_4382.webpIMG_4419.webpIMG_4412.webpIMG_4416.webp

In my honest opinion it looks normal and healthy. Your teeth are perfectly straight and smooth. And white as well. I do see your point of view in that you’re concerned your teeth aren’t proportionate to the rest of your face. But I think it’s what makes you who you are. You have great facial structure. And plump lips. And with those shiny white teeth I bet you have a welcoming laugh. Of course there’s always ways to change something you don’t like about yourself. Yes you could look into jaw alignment surgery. Or tooth reduction. Or a complete new set of teeth. Those things cost lots of money. And for something that in the grand scheme is really quite insignificant. I wouldn’t go through that much trouble and pain for something which makes you who you are.

Your dentist never brought this topic because you have let's say perfect white teeth with no gaps.

Because right now in your case your orthodentist will need to extract 2 healthy teeth, put you on braces to correct the natural bend, and then fixing your overbite with a lower jaw surgery
