This happened because they pulled her mouth back too much. Her mouth was likely already in a good position, but they pulled it back therefore making her mouth area recessed. Extractions can be good for people who have super overprotruding mouths

Also, as I said, the bone loss depicted in the thread is only alveolar process loss. This won't effect how your mandible or chin or maxilla looks.
