It’s rare that someone leaves an impression on me, an impression conspicuous enough, it changes the way I look at life. This.. is in real life, by the way.
The situation online is even more hopeless. As I’ve explained before - 90% of my ‘behaviour’ is a persona. I mean sure I could be serious occasionally but the point is all of this is very unserious. A consequence of this, is being dissociated from all of it.
When I first joined the forum, everyone had their own ‘groups’. Thus, it was hard to make connections.. But I started replying anyways.
I still remember the dopamine surge I got from looking at 5 notifications instantly. Quite absurd to me, since I was a newgen. Turns out it was from one person only - he had gold repped all my postings.
I didn’t pay attention to it initially, it’s as milkjar pointed out I think. If they’re gold repping all your replies they’re gold repping everyone else too.
I was surprised to learn this then - upon making conversations with Smallville he would reference older stuff and be extremely engaging. Whenever I replied to his threads he never made a newgen like me feel excluded. I think if it weren’t for him I wouldn’t have stayed on the forum…
So, from that day onwards, I started observing him.. And I was utterly surprised by his positivity. It genuinely baffled me. He was positive to perhaps every single person who interacted with him. Gave people genuine assuring advice and poured his heart out to make those who are insecure find any sort of meaning.
I genuinely think I’ve gotten positive, as a result of him. It’s still shocking to think, that in a blackpill forum of all places, a person can choose to spread positivity so selflessly.
If he can do it on a blackpill forum, why can’t we all do it overall in our lives?
I hope he’s doing good.
He represents the best of us.
I think a core tenet of any looksmaxxing space has to be the uplifting each other part.
Just by being here, it should be obvious none of us are perfect, we’re all in this together and understand each other.. Let’s all improve together, synergistically!
