AESTHETIC MODIFICATION OF PALPEBRAL FISSURE LENGTH
AESTHETIC MODIFICATION OF PALPEBRAL FISSURE LENGTH
Credits to @RAJ GHRANDHICK for telling me to make this thread. Hope this helps : D
PFL (palpebral fissure length) is a medical term used to describe the distance between each corner of the eyes.
Why is PFL important for attractiveness?
PFL contributes to eye shape. Almond eyes are regarded as very attractive and have a longer PFL. A longer PFL is also good because it makes you look more youthful. When people age, the tissues around the eyes sag and make an aged and shorter PFL appearance.

Preventing Aging:
- Protect and strengthen your skin against UV rays.
- Quit smoking and other bad habits. Avoid pollutants.
- Get enough sleep (sleep deprivation leads to sagginess in the eye area and stress)
- Manage stress, have a good diet.
- Use gentle skincare and consider further medical interventions depending on your situation.
Surgical Methods
Lateral Canthoplasty
Reshapes and repositions the outer corners of the eyes.
It can cost from 1,000$ to 1,700$.
Side effects: Most of these effects are temporary, common in surgeries, and/or can be treated. Serious complications are extremely rare. Further info & and recovery: https://www.theeyelidinstitute.com/blog/lateral-canthoplasty-recovery/
It lasts 7-10 years or more.

Blepharoplasty
This procedure is also known as an eyelid lift. It removes or repositions excess skin and fat which is sagging over the eyes.
Generally, the cost is between 6,000$-13,000$.
Side effects: Most of these effects are temporary, common in surgeries, and/or can be treated. Serious side effects are rare. Further info on potential side effects and how to deal with them: https://www.doctoralizadeh.com/blog...fects-will-i-experience-after-blepharoplasty/
It can last anywhere from 5-7 years to a lifetime.

Other: Modified TCLB (Transconjuctival Blepharoplasty)
Canthopexy
A procedure that tightens and supports the outer corners of the lower eyelids. It helps reduce sagginess.
It costs between 5,000-11,000$.

Lower Eyelid Malposition Repair
Surgery to reposition and tighten the eyelid.
Carbon Dioxide Laser Skin Resurfacing for Eyelids
The laser removes loose skin and promotes collagen production.
Major complications are rare. Further reading: https://www.skinmds.com/conditions/eyelid-sagging-and-puffiness/laser-skin-resurfacing/#:~:text=This process also stimulates the, visible incision and no stitches.
It lasts 3-5 years.

Theoretical Methods:
LATANOPROST
A prescription eye drop medication for treating glaucoma and ocular hypertension. It reduces pressure in the eye by increasing the flow of natural fluids out. It is a prostaglandin F receptor agonist sold under the brand names Xalatan, Iyuzeh, Xelpros, and Monopost.
“Animal Studies
In monkeys, latanoprost has been shown to induce increased pigmentation of the iris. The mechanism of increased pigmentation seems to be stimulation of melanin production in melanocytes of the iris, with no proliferative changes observed. The change in iris color may be permanent. Ocular administration of latanoprost at a dose of 6 µg/eye/day (4 times the daily human dose) to cynomolgus monkeys has also been shown to induce increased palpebral fissure. This effect was reversible upon discontinuation of the drug.”
This paper also talks about how it increases iris pigmentation and eyelash length in humans

Thoughts: take it at a regular or less than regular human dosage. You will likely see darker eyes and lashes, thicker and longer lashes, and slightly increased PFL over time. Don’t overdose, and be careful. If you have glaucoma and ocular hypertension then its two birds with one stone. You need a prescription for it, there is no OTC. Self administering is not recommending, and you will have very minimal effects anyway.
