i want to do a diy lip filler at home since fillers cost £200-300 and this diy would cost £25. i looked at org threads and also went onto r/DIYCosmeticProcedures. Has anyone tried this?

Creating a sterile environment at home is very difficult. If bacteria enter under the skin, serious inflammation, abscesses, and ulcers can develop. Unprofessional needle application can deform the shape of the lip and may cause numbness or loss of movement due to nerve damage. If filler is accidentally injected into a blood vessel, it can cause tissue death or serious circulatory problems. This is a medical emergency. Anything done without a sterile needle and appropriate filler is dangerous.

On Reddit and forums: There may be posts that appear successful, but these are unverified experiences, and those who experience complications often don't share them. Therefore, trusting such posts can be misleading.

The safest option is consult a qualified dermatologist or plastic surgeon
