sun screen will not lighten you skin alone, it will PREVENT further darkening due to the fact it blocks UV rays that create melanin but it does not actually directly inhibit melanin production

It takes me like half a year to lose a tan completely and by that time, its summer again, and here the sun is so scorching i would have to put literal pig lard or black tar on my skin to avoid a tan
