I said 14 is not a good age of consent because it's actually not natural and is dangerous mentally + physically. It would also negatively impact the economy, etc.

It was going nowhere from the start since his country has different laws so he wouldn't think much of it. Honestly higher age of consent just serves as a barrier to prevent older men taking young women from dating within their normal age group. Any argument for "family making" goes out the window in the current education system, as a lower age of consent would just benefit predatory adults while actually removing options for teenage men who can barely even make an income yet.
