You’d be surprised but there are even those who can speak their own languages fluently. But yeah, most speak it conversationally or even worse. Was that before or after the Taliban takeover when you visited? Probably before. Yes, I’ve been to Pakistan a few times, but only in Punjab. Last time was 2024. I’m never visiting Balochistan though because I would get killed by separatists. I would visit Afghanistan, probably. I am not much of a traveler.

Islamabad is known for being westernized, we call the residents there burgers. Why are you not a fan of the Baloch? Usually, Iranic peoples love each other and hate on Indic peoples (specifically Punjabis).

Knowing how traditional Afghan people are, they would probably refuse to acknowledge you as one of their own for not being able to speak the language. I heard that was one of the prerequisites, with the others being having to have an Afghan father, being Islamic and following the Afghan way of life system. The only Baloch people I know are from southern Punjab, but they speak another language called Saraiki. They are good and educated people. As for Punjabis, I don’t like most. I find them too white-washed, westernized, liberal and self-hating.
