I‘m not sure where that sense comes from but it is deeply ingrained into the unconcious. ”Their tongues will reveal them“ is true.
It is very hard or impossible to lie without telling on yourself.
There is therefore atleast a shared sense of what harm is which cannot be “made up“.
I‘m not talking about abstract ethical theorizing.
But the unconcious knowledge of when you are harming someone, trying to lie about that harm, etc.
There is also an unconcious process of blaming others who have harmed you.
Don‘t harm people.
