It’s the complete opposite of Europe tbh while Europeans try to be super smart and speak multiple languages Americans will not trust someone who is smart

Anti intellectualism is literally written on the American constitution. Some of the Europeans who immigrated there at the start didn’t do it because they were looking for a better life, but because at the time they were intimidated by the open debates in Europe

That’s why u get the huge contrast in Europe where the average person knows multiple languages and everything about politics, history
