seems like it's just a bunch of guys running towards each other to get cte and be vegetable brained by 45, not much skill involved, just speed and physicality
at least with other cte dangerous sports like mma, boxing
you learn the skill of how to fight

Same thing can be said about any sport, activity, life style.
If you oversimplify a idea and highlight its negative effects then the idea will sound bad

of course, but somethings have way more negatives than others
what's the benefit of a sport that requires not much skill and technical/tactical abilities and is could leave permanent damage on your brain?

The catching, team cordination, high level planning, highly technical positioning and foot work…. Basically all the skills in rugby with more positions and throwing the ball
