Anyone who's actually worked in finance knows how shitty the career is.

You sit at a desk all day making graphs until midnight while losing your hair.

People think these films were made to make some message against capitalism.

No, these movies were made for the opposite reason. They are capitalist propaganda films.

The people who made them knew full well that the main characters would be idolized.

The entire purpose of these movies was to ensure a consistent stream of young Americans chasing carrots.

"Maybe one day I can live like Patrick Bateman. Maybe one day I'll marry Margot Robbie."

Maybe one day, you can stop drinking five Red Bulls. Back to work!

true but brother for the love of god change that avi im caging reading this shit

A game where you start at the top or lose is the "fairest system".

You actually believe this.

Maybe it really is that easy to control most people.
wrong, capitalism promotes economic mobility more than any other system. hard work is rewarded

hard work is rewarded
"Rewarded" by the chance to eat food.

And maybe getting your own permanent shelter in the future.

Unless you were born at the top, then it's all free. No hard work either.

The fairest system strikes again.

alternate view: it's fair because parents who work hard can keep their wealth in the family.

propose a fairer system

Social credit authoritarianism is the fairest system that also allows for growth.

And the only system that directly rewards good behavior while also keeping things in line.

Most people don't need wealth. They just need a partner, a house, and food.

It's much easier to implement this system in a homogenous population, but not mandatory.

This system is hated for one reason: the success of the opposing country that uses it.

china is essentialy capitalist

house and food = wealth, the only way to correctly price things is with supply and demand

societies require incentive structures for success and the American dream is clearly the greatest example of this we have in history

No, it's authoritarian with state controlled businesses.

The problem is a free market with widely varying salaries.

If you choose to do engineering over theatre, that should be because you're interested in it.

societies requires incentive structures for success
Food and shelter should be afforded by behavior social credits instead of money.

Having no incentives is bad, but everyone should be getting similar rewards for the same amount of work.

Although this system is much easier to implement in a homogenous society.

the American dream is clearly the greatest example of this we have in history
The American dream is a complete failure and most people today can barely afford a permanent home.

Even the illusion is barely being held together at this point.

incorret, it should have little to do with what the individual wants and more to do with what society needs. the free market will price these wages appropriate to fill each role as needed by society

Food and shelter should be afforded by behavior social credits instead of money.

dogmatic statement with no motivation given

exactly, this is what capitalism provides

because the American dream is (mostly)ndead. we are in an era of libtards, wealthy retired boomers and welfare parasites

it should have little to do with what the individual wants and more to do with what society needs.
That's literally what properly run authoritarianism is.

Which is what I proposed.

dogmatic statement with no motivation given
Not sure why you don't get this.

If survival needs are determined by good behavior instead of money, it naturally enforces a proper society.

Capitalism provides similar rewards for everyone?

You can't be serious.

because the American dream is (mostly)ndead. we are in an era of libtards, wealthy retired boomers and welfare parasites
And that's a consequence of capitalism.
