He's as deserving of it as anyone else. MotM is just an honorary title to show 'respect' to certain users and to get some cosmetic perks. Everyone thought he deserved that title/respect and so he was nominated, put into the poll, and then won.

There's no hard requirement for MotM. If there was, then it wouldn't be a title handled out monthly and only given when users met the requirements.

i was genuinely asking how its possible to have a negative opinion on member of the month when youve only been here for the month. again, im not sure what you could compare it to really. nowhere in my message do i think i say that i thought you wanted to be motm, but im aware there was a misconception.

i think this recognition was a bit overdue. to me, motm goes to someone who has brought real value or significance to the forum, whether through consistently posting quality guides, gaining popularity through jokes, or simply being a long-standing and well-liked user

with my definition in mind, i believe schizo deserved it because, as blended mentioned, hes been active here for a very long time. even though he isn’t as active as he once was, he has managed to remain on the highest rep boards for months while other users have to stay more active for it. to me, it showed me his lasting influence and significance (even if it sounds dramatic). more recently, ive seen him give genuine advice and help to people, and its a fact why a lot of users like him. even if it wasnt constant, users often acknowledged that his input helped them, signaling to me proof that he was still adding value. the question shouldnt be "whyd he win this month" but "why had he never won before"

on top of that, this past month he gained attention again partly because some users kept fixating on him, which brought him more visibility and popularity again. he was one of my two votes because i felt he and my other pick were far stronger choices than anyone else in the poll. the answer was clear to me. @Night , i had also voted for you.

i also want to mention that a lot of the newer users seem to place way too much importance on motm. if you disagree, thats fine, but none of this really matters. theres no prize for being here. it’s just a forum, where people should be able to communicate like normal. im not calling anyone out, or you, specifically, but it does feel like people forget that whenever motm rolls around. i can only imagine how much worse it wouldve been if the newer users knew that, for a short time, winners actually received money too haha.
