  • This is known as the "halo effect", where one good trait (like looks) leads us to assume other good traits.
  • Attractive people may also receive better social treatment, more job opportunities, and even lighter punishments in legal settings.
Other researchers found that women are more likely to say the way a person looks does not affect them, but a woman's behavior is nevertheless affected by a man's looks."
