that man did something special with T'Challa. he could've just played the role, collected the bag and moved on, but he gave that character so much fucking dignity and heart. for a lot of Black people, seeing a powerful african king on screen played with that much pride meant something. especially when so much shit in western media reduced africa to poverty, war, or some joke.

and knowing what he was going through while doing all that honestly makes it hit even harder. he was out there giving people hope and making them feel proud while fighting his own battle in private.
