Being emotional doesn’t mean that

emotional = expressing your feelings

Experiencing intense emotions = experiencing intense emotions

emotional = expressing your feelings

Experiencing intense emotions = experiencing intense emotions
Furthermore, the pure expression of feeling is not equivalent to emotionality, which in my view is a tacky form of emotional expressiveness

In fact, empathetic people are rarely emotional

id like to think the pure expression of feelingv IS emotionality given the idea that emotionality is an expression or experiencing of intense mood both in the colloquial sense of the term and the actual denotative meaning of it

BUT i think i get where yr coming from ? then again i'd like to think my own empathy arises from my by emotional- it is because i feel that i can feel and empathize w/ others !!!! but it also really sucks ass

My empathy causes constricted affect

n***a what?
emotionality is intensity of feeling, empathy is understanding others feelings. Strong emotions can cloud empathy, awareness and regulation enable it, not just expression.

You are simply an emotionally unstable f****t

if emotionality is the intensity of a feeling why cant it coincide with regulation of how that affects your behaviour ?

eg if i get in a fight with somebody and they call me a f*ggot r*tard or smth- i would get mad no shit. but i also wouldnt lash out because i understand that theyre upset too- it is because i feel so strongly about MY position i can understand that they might have the same feeling too- and therefore act like how i would want to be treated (aka understand their feelings aka empathy)

experiencing strong emotions ≠ being a weak t*rd and letting it affect your behaviour
