Of course there are circumstances when you need to put on your personality like at work, but around friends, partners, family, or in public, you should be yourself.

If you put on a persona,that persona is consistently fluctuating, it's unstable and shifts, it crumbles and dies. You can't hide who you are forever, so when you're already invested into whatever relationship or status you have, it can and likely will be stripped from you. Not like you can be truly happy faking your personality anyway.
