nah katara's whole arc was about how she was forced to be motherly to sokka and her tribe after her mum died, she had to be the moral compass for the entire group which is a huge burden, aang was a kid and she was clearly protective of him but i didnt see the sparks at all

zuko was the only person she interacted with where she didn't have to be that motherly archetype

when she had a personal quest (to find the guy who killed her mother) zuko supported it and didnt judge her for her anger and allowed her to have the feelings that she usually has to hold back because she's too busy being said motherly figure

im not saying zutara was well developed, im saying it was a huge potential wasted imo, if the writers chose to develop zutara over katara/aang it wouldve flowed way better

also just from the physical attraction point alone, aang had the body of a 12 yr old and bald, no 14 yr old girl is going to be attracted to that
