If you are wearing sweat pants and shit it won't look good, just a ordinary fit can work with them well. I agree.
I stick with timbs though since i love work boots personally.

I usually pair them with baggy jeans that cover half of the shoe and a sweater/hoodie. Not sure if that’d work with docs but it does with timbs

idk. i have new balances 9060s, add 1.8 inches, hermes bouncing with 1.5 inches, asics gel nycs with 1.4 inches, asics kayano 14 with 1.3 inches, nike travis scotts with 1.2 inches. id recommend the 9060s or vans, depends on ur style. check out https://runrepeat.com , they offer great reviews, especially concerning comfort and dimensions

Nothing more to elab tbf, if you're into workwear style you can add 2 inches insoles to your boots. The boot will cover + tightening your ankle so you'll be more stable to walk with. Also it'll be more discreet compared to low shoes like Nike's.

You also avoid shoes with big plateforms so it'll be less obvious you're height frauding
