I was actually thinking of tagging you and telling her that it's permissible for Shias to get tattoos (as long as it's not a place where wudhu is performed, i.e. hands, face, feet and forearms).

Twelver Sh*a ramblings.

See what the highly esteemed sheikh Sayyed Mohammad Al-Musawi has to say;

"Woman must avoid any act which makes her exposed to non Mahram men. Tattoo should never be seen on her body by non Mahram men. She can put tattoo on parts of her body which are always covered and never seen by non Mahram men. Tattoo should not be immoral nor include any of the holy names of Allah, the Prophet or the Infallible Imams.

This implies she shouldn't tattoo her hands and face (unless she's burqamaxxed or niqabmaxxed). So we were both right, since it also implies men can do it anywhere they want (what you were saying).

That's a fatwa (a ruling), a hadith is an oral tradition. Not everyone blindly believes in all the hadiths (many believe that the Qur'an and the hadiths are on equal footing, which I heavily disagree with as I do not believe the Word of Man (hadiths) compares to the Word of God (Qur'an) in any way, shape or form. But of course, this does makes me a heretic in the eyes of most mudslimes).

i was just talking about this with somebody yesterday. i think tattoos on your hands are really cool. i would get some.

i already explained to this runt that the crescent moon is an ottoman symbol and unrelated to islam, but i think he wants to remain ignorant despite his affection for the holahola.
i agree but he also also added the "for islam" after i had seen it. i didnt know he meant it for religious reasons
