Like if you had no friends the best thing to do is just make it obvious that you can provide something to someone who is your friend, like the smartest person in class could easily make friends because they offer people hope and just value like being able to answer questions or work as a partner.
And if you've got a nice house then you could invite someone over and to them you'd have value to them because of your house or same with being rich. Even if you're not rich most people are pretty self absorbed so if you offer being a listener to them then thats something they'll see as valuable,

And thats the easiest way to make friends basically from what I've seen and experienced. Tbh you don't even need a personality if you can do this.

Carry a pack of gum and offer it to people. Compliments can also start up a conversation (only if you mean it don’t pretend to be nice jfl). Great thread!

Ideal recipe to get zero real friends

you could just be funny cause everyone is depressed rn so you making them laugh makes them want to be alive tbh
Yes but its a bit harder because even if you are funny, if you're not a kind of person people want around they wont laugh and if they do, they won't actually take you as something who they want around a lot

i've had the opposite experience to this tbh. Maybe it's cause banter is more of a guy thing but being mean/poking fun is what helped me keep friendships long term, idk, im not a nice person tbh.

I think you are a lovely person however, I think for girls they like funny people but they value things more I guess materialistic than guys probably

Thank you, but i do act differently irl. Yeah, i dont really understand female friendships at all tbh. It just seems like a lot of backstabbing and using people to climb the social ladder.

It depends but now I'm older most people kinda grow out of the social ladder mentality and all the drama its more just a young teenage thing
