It was hard to beat breaking bad tbh but it surpassed it for me when I watched it
And I had low expectations since Saul is a very side character archetype

i loved it until that n****r gus killed lalo, obv gus had to win to fit the bb timeline but bruh if they could write it as a standalone show lalo would win

not sure i agree. the realistic ending would have been lalo was murdered when gus sent the assassins to his house in mexico. but they had to keep him around longer for plot reasons so he teleports to germany and back and manages to improbably track down extremely niche loose ends that inform him of the lab.
when he made it to lab he probably should've btfo'd gus (the shooting scene in the dark is kino af) but i dont think it should realistically have ever got to that point
anyway the jimmy/chuck storyline >>> cartel storyline
