My jaw isn't very reccesed, my overbite isn't bad like at all like my teeth still directly touch my top are just in front when I close my mouth
I have an appointment with an ortho to hopefully get referred for bimax but im worried they'll deny me, i dont have breathing problems from it, i can eat fine, speak fine, I dont grind my jaw my jaw doesn't hurt, its like fine, just the bottoms reccesed and makes me look bad
Will they deny me? What excuse or reason or lie can I use to get it?
I have asthma could I blame it on that and say its breathing issues?

Why do you need approval from the doctor? Is it because health insurance covers it? If yes then absolutely, lie. But if they refuse then try going to turkey or sum to get it for cheaper.

Not every orthodontist prepares for surgery. If you find an experienced orthodontist, they will likely offer a suitable treatment plan perhaps just chin reshaping genioplasty or full bimax rather than rejecting you

Insurance companies especially for expensive surgeries like Bimax, don't just rely on patient statements they require objective data (X-rays, sleep tests, cephalometric analysis) If there's no medical necessity, lying risks both insurance fraud and the doctor refusing the surgery due to ethical considerations. No surgeon would sign off on a report stating "the patient said they couldn't breathe" when they didn't see a narrowing on an X-ray
