Birth control and bloating

I have extreme period cramps and im getting checked for a ton of shit but my doctor gave me norgestimate-ethinyl estradiol 0.25-0.35 cuz it was either that or surgery (still possible surgery) and I did some research on it and it can cause bad water retiniton and soduim retinition. If anyone else was on it any advice to help with bloating, I was told it should stop after my body adjusts but it can take 3 months

My main symptom is extreme period pain that goes from my high hips to my ankles and nausea. And i have family history of endometriosis and ovarian cysts

It’s better to get the cysts removed if you’re planning on having children later. Drs prescribe birth control way too much for endometriosis. The side effects are probably not worth the physical relief. Idk how it’s going for you but it doesn’t even remove the pain for most endometriosis patients.
