Bone mass

lose weight like @interstellarpotato said, but if the back part of your jaw (the ramus and gonions) still aren't defined after losing weight this just means you don't have enough natural jaw bone width to stretch your skin out, which would create a shadow below the jaw and give it that defined look

to combat this chewing to grow the masseter muscles (which should ideally be positioned as low down on your ramus as possible) is effective, however the downside is if you have shit masseter muscle insertions (e.g. they sit higher up on the ramus) the cons of chewing far outweigh the pros bc it will make your face look bloated and you'll be chipmunkmaxxed

if it turns out you have good masseter insertions then chew away (there are plenty of guides to chewing that explain what gum you can use and how to not get TMJ from it), but if you have shit insertions don't sweat it

thats the situation im in, and although a jaw thats defined throughout is a good halo its not required to be gl, there are plenty of moggers with jaws that aren't actually defined from their side profile
