While talking to someone I was reminded of a book close to my heart. It’s a collection of beautiful letters by the great stoic philosopher Seneca sent to a friend of his. It tackles topics of friendship, love, how to conduct yourself, how to self improve and not be a slave in life among many others surprisingly relevant to us 2000 years later. This heartfelt quote where Seneca references another great philosopher Hecato came to my mind instantly and I want you all to hear it
‘I can show you a philtre, compounded without drugs, herbs, or any witch's incantation: 'If you want to be loved, love.’
