Society is increasingly becoming more like Brave New World.

People are genetically engineered and separated into classes based on their genetics from birth. Higher classes are more intelligent, attractive, tall, strong, etc. Everyone leads a life of unadulterated hedonism and takes a drug to make them constantly happy to suppress all of their human emotions. Spoiler:



It reminds me of society today because of the rampant hedonism and class-based system. Everyone in the book is incredibly lookist and shallow. As more and more things become automated by artificial intelligence and employment increases, I think society will become more and more like Brave New World.

A movie has been made about it, but it's from the 80's and wasn't quality. It's never received a "real" film adaptation.

It is a good book. I read it before, I did like Camp of the saints too.
