its 2% actually

"taken in the context of an examination of previous research, indicate that the prevalence of false allegations is between 2% and 10%."
Do you even read your own studies?

thankyou ive been wondering about this
Tho this is more a result of having a system that takes any accusation made by women way too seriously if men were able to do this they would probably also abuse false allegations

Basically if u go out to the police and say u got r***d they will automatically flag it as true unless there is proof otherwise which is different from any other crime that usually needs to be proven not disproven before someone is convicted

from the article you didn't read but still cited:

These results, taken in the context of an examination of previous research, indicate that the prevalence of false allegations is between 2% and 10%.

key words here: indicate, between 2% and 10%. clearly not arguing in good faith if you're just gonna assume the best possible end of that range for your position.

not that these studies means much. i'm sure you'd find plenty of flaws if you took a look at the methods used to come to these conclusions anyways. if "false allegation" only means cases where its proved incorrect beyond reasonable doubt, than there's a huge range of r**e allegations which can't be proved conclusively either way. doesn't mean its logical to conclude that all of the cases that don't have enough evidence to prove false are automatically true.

it must be different for different countries, i know someone personally who was r***d and its been very hard for her to get it taken seriously and its very possible her abuser will get away scott free
its also very hard to get proof for r**e cases and i think thats why alot also go un reported
