That’s what I thought too but apparently sites cant even see what extensions you have unless they actively modify the contents of the site (so like an extension that can make every site dark mode). Might be wrong tho idk

This isn't really what I'm referring to. Yes, if you don't modify site they can't tell.
Mainly I dislike browser extensions to their inherent complexity. The complexity that has to exist to support browser extensions are insane. HTML is the simplest part of a browser (besides maybe urls) and is still extremely complex and error prone to write a parser for one. Many useful extensions people use do directly modify the site anyways, especially uBlock. There's also the obvious privacy concerns with them as well.

Depends on the sites being accessed. I believe for secureblue they recommend downloading stuff as PWA and then pinning the extension to just that web app so it's not there for normal browsing.
