Can lack of sleep and/or poor sleep quality explain a recrudescence of acne on the face ? If so, why and how ?

Yes lack of sleep and poor sleep quality absolutely can explain a recrudescence of acne this happens because sleep deprivation spikes the cortisol, which directly increases sebum production, clogging pores it also increases overall inflammation, worsening existing breakouts

After a more than year of looksmaxxing I been focusing on diet, skincare and blablabla I found that when my sleep was terrible my acne returned, it was my weak link

since good sleep is required for optimal hormone and gut function, sleep plays a role In your skin health, also theres a shit tone of other pathways that explain why bad sleep is a looksmin but I cbf researching it at the moment
