This reminds me of a quote from the owner of a website/forum that existed between 1989 and 2009.

I was reading a VICE article on a forum I was a member of between 2010 and 2014. It was created in 2006 but used for the public in 2009. That forum was created because the website got shut down. Not sure if I should link the article here. 😂

irl im a lot more passive and considerate. not kind per say but on the forums specifically im a total bitch and honest about being so. online but off the forums im very passionate and open to discussion but i think a lot of people would hate me due to how passionate i am. i have a friend ive known for 5 years who’s not an american so we were obviously debating american politics and i started crashing out. deadass yelling and on the verge of tears. fortunately for me he knows im like that and after a few more minutes we both immediately clicked and apologized. no bad blood or anything. i think 99% of people dont wanna have passionate arguments over everything though n i do acknowledge that. irl i think im too anxious and overwhelmingly “considerate” to the point of inconvenience.
