I was bored and didnt know what to do so im gonna be demonstrating the facts about concerta pill and my 5-6 year experience with it

Now what is concerta and what does it do:
Concerta is a prescription medication used to treat Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. Its active ingredient is Methylphenidate, a stimulant that helps improve attention, focus, and impulse control. So shortly it helps u focus better on the studies and you can only get it with prescription and its oral

  • How it works: Increases brain chemicals such as dopamine and norepinephrine for attention and self control
  • Duration: lasts 10-12 hours

Common side effects i've gotten from it:

You'll almost never get hungry during the effect of the pill (whenever I wanted to eat food or whenever I saw food, it almost made me throw up)

Sleeping issues (it'll keep you awake because it is a stimulant and it contains methylphenidate)

Headache

For men, your testicles start to be in a rock form like how they become in winter.

Dosages:

AgeStarting dosageMaximum dosage
children ages 6 to 12 years18 milligrams (mg) once daily54 mg per day
children ages 13 to 17 years18 mg once daily72 mg per day
adults ages 18 to 65 years18 mg or 36 mg once daily72 mg per day

Doctors will be most likely to start it with low doses for the patients because

-Side effects that affect peoples daily life so absurdly that it goes wild
-Every body reacts differently
-It's safer

Also the reasons why doctors might increase the dose:
-Medication isnt working properly
-The effect may go off quickly

Now what factors does affect the dosage:

-Age
-Weight
-If u are experiencing the side effects worse than how its supossed to be
-How your symptoms respond to the medication

So in conclusion:

What it’s used for

It helps people:

  • Focus more
  • Pay attention for longer
  • Control impulses (like acting without thinking)
  • Stay calmer

Why people use it

Some people with ADHD have a brain that gets distracted easily or has trouble staying focused

This medicine helps by increasing brain chemicals and make these easier to do:

  • pay attention
  • stay on one task
  • control impulses
So basically, it helps brain focus more on the thing you're doing
