Weak ass thread. He has made a thread to deny, not denying anything JFL.

"For orthodontic treatment, it does show substantial proof that it works. But let's look at the methodology.
To begin with, the control group did NOT receive any supplemental Vitamin C
This automatically makes it uncomparable or useful to megadose such Vitamin C supplements or dietary Vitamin C."
Huh? What the hell is this bruh. If rats without supplementation showed less tooth movement and less osteoclastic activity, it is evidence that Vitamin C influences bone remodeling.
Vitamin C deficiency, is extremely rare. So comparing rats who consumed no Vitamin C compared to ones who did, is frankly useless.
"This study assessed >22,400 participants (aged 40–79 years), revealing a weighted mean of 54 µmol/L vitamin C (48 and 59 µmol/L for men and women, respectively), and a prevalence of deficiency of 1.4% (2.2% for men and 0.8% for women)."
So, if you consume the RDA for Vitamin C, it's unlikely you will require "megadosing" absolutely anything for orthodontic purposes, and isa waste. While vitamin C is low toxicity, it can cause some issues when receiving over the recommended dose."
And that has to do with what I'm saying. First, rats do not generate vitamin C like humans. Second, the low deficiency of Vitamin C in the world population has nothing to do with this topic. I'm talking about the advantages of an INCREASE in vitamin C to increase the activity of osteoclasts and osteoblasts, which are responsible for bone remodeling, not to be healthy. In addition to what I have already said, it must be taken into account so that the megadoses of vitamin C do not affect your health under any circumstances. In short, what does that have to do with the thread? JFL
