i pick my nails

So the reason ocd meds mights not be working because it’s a different mechanism. I suggest to look into BFRB specific techniques or therapy like habit reversal training or cbt. Learn to notice when you have the urges early and try to replace it with something else like tapping fingers, clenching your fists, etc.

I had this tooo and I also have OCD they put me on Prozac and risperidone and I know it’s not common but those kinda cured me. I would pick on my arms and so just wearing long sleeves so that I wouldn’t see my arms would help me with not getting the urge

CBD helped me. Not weed, just like CBD. I have Trichotillomania not Dermatillomania though and I'm male (Not sure how significant that is counting you posted this in the female category).

You don't do it randomly though. Our bodies have a tendency to do it when we're stressed. Reducing my overall stress helped me reduce it overall, so I recommend looking into your triggers. I didn't realize I was so stressed until I left my previous environment.

YES I TOTALLY GET YOU , I've had trichotillomania basically my whole life and I still have it but like everytime I pick a hair or something I just slap and start hitting myself
