Late ass post for ufc 328 but man what a fight Khamzat really gassed out dawg I was slightly siding towards Khamzat but event tho I was rooting for Sean , Sean didn’t deserve +400 underdog like it was genuinely a 60 to 40 odds typa thing . I think sean operates on a level we just don't know.
He acts one way when sparring with streamers (aggressively)
And it makes you think if he's going that hard in sparring, he'll be going hard in a fight.

But in fights he's instead cautious, seemingly going for decision wins, whereas his opponent expects him to be going on a rampage.

Especially the way he talks in the press conferences. I know most fighters will act out a character to better sell a fight, but Sean definitely goes above and beyond in that regard.

Sean has an awkward ass style that’s not rlly easy to break through + by the time it was round 3 I knew Sean was gonna win becuz we know Sean can go the whole 25 but I ve always doubted khamzats gas tank , same with Aspinall, and Sean has good takedown defense too so unless Khamzat really put in his A game he wasn’t rlly gonna break thru and of course the weight cut is another big factor

Ddp is just chaos jfl and seans jab and teep methods weren’t gonna do shit to help him with ddp and in that fight he was constantly scared of takedown threats , his low risk style wasn’t built for ddp tbh

I gotta admit ddp's fighting style does work specifically because of how weird it is.

I have hope against all odds I think he can do it but seriously stylistically the main issue in topurias style is he can be hit while entering range ,that’s how jai hurt him with that head kick , and whenever topuria is hunting a finish he gets sloppy and easily hittable many times he’s just forgotten defense while chasing a ko and that’s not gon go easy w gaethje and I think gaethjes biggest weapon for topuria is his leg kick,
