The way we view the world and small expressions in people for example is often a prediction from the brain. This to say many things you think you saw aren’t really real, because the brain predicts from what it already knows.

And ofc most of the brain development happen during early to late childhood.

I think this is why you see many ppl who seem to always think everyone hates them and some ppl who are being obnoxious and seem to not care and ofc this can stem from many factors but id say people with low self-esteem are actually seeing something that isn’t quite happening.

They might pick up on a smirk or a certain attitude that leads them to believe ppl hate them or are judging them when it’s often not the case.

It’s very hard to dispute what you think you saw but often ppl who think others judge them don’t really have a big reason such as ppl openly laughing at them right there it’s mostly small hints

I want to study Childhood development psychology
How you parents treat you during your developmental years really affects everything, so much potential wasted

It’s very complex with children things that an adult would take for granted such as coming back home and confusing the name of one kid with the other. That can seem like a small mistake but can cause a huge trauma in the future that sometimes even the person with it can’t tell why

Children are just growing and learning, they’re not aware of how bad things are, therefore such a small thing as a parent forgetting something they promised or getting their name wrong is a huge deal to them, also it disturbs their sense of security in a way

Parents reaction to those events makes all the difference as well
