Imagine using the Bible as proof to an atheist. You can only use that as proof to another believer.I meean you can use that.... if it foretold events i mean like thats proof lol

They obviously aren’t gonna listen to it because they don’t believe in it. The Bible isn’t exactly history at all. World war 1 is clearly history.whats the difference of using the bible as proof to an atheist to showing a history book to a denier of world war 1?
the bible IS history its a historical book with records of past events making it a literal textbook definition of historyThey obviously aren’t gonna listen to it because they don’t believe in it. The Bible isn’t exactly history at all. World war 1 is clearly history.
World war 1 is history, because there’s people who’ve lived and experienced it today around to share their story. This does not negate any other experiences in history that do not have any around but it’s just one of the reasonings as to why.the bible IS history its a historical book with records of past events making it a literal textbook definition of history
and whos to say world war 1 is history? i can deny that just as you can deny the bible is history
says The Satan @over0Evil over0
n***a world war one ended in 1918 no one who served in world war 1 is alive now the last verterns died in the 2010's. If you're talking about literal babies in that time frame who were just alive then, sure they are a few here still today, but they did not experience the war other than being displaced due to the war, or hearing stories about it when they are older, all too young to remember.World war 1 is history, because there’s people who’ve lived and experienced it today around to share their story. What past events that are true and confirmed today that make it a historical textbook?

I’ll debate this when im out of school just give me like 3 hours bro.n***a world war one ended in 1918 no one who served in world war 1 is alive now the last verterns died in the 2010's. But this is just an example, when i mentioned the first world war, I couldve said anything like the ottoman empire for example my point would still stand, ww1 is just what came to mind first
Here is a list of past events that are true and confirmed today that i looked up for you:
Old Testament / Hebrew Bible
- The existence of ancient Mesopotamia, Egypt, and Canaan
- These regions and civilizations are well-documented outside the Bible.
- The reign of King David and the House of David
- Confirmed by the Tel Dan Stele (9th century BCE) mentioning the “House of David.”
- The reign of King Hezekiah of Judah
- Supported by Assyrian records and archaeological finds like the Hezekiah Tunnel and Lachish reliefs.
- The Assyrian invasion of Israel (722 BCE)
- Confirmed by Assyrian records (King Sargon II) and archaeology.
- The Babylonian conquest of Judah (586 BCE)
- Confirmed by Babylonian chronicles and archaeological evidence (e.g., layers of destruction in Jerusalem).
- The exile of the Jewish elite to Babylon
- Supported by Babylonian records and confirmed by later returns under Persian rule.
- The return of Jews from exile under Cyrus the Great (538 BCE)
- Mentioned in the Cyrus Cylinder, a Persian artifact describing his policy of repatriation.
- The existence and rebuilding of the Second Temple in Jerusalem
- Well-documented in historical and archaeological records.
- Jesus of Nazareth existed as a historical figure
- Supported by Roman historians like Tacitus and Josephus, as well as Christian and Jewish sources.
- John the Baptist existed and was executed by Herod Antipas
- Mentioned by Josephus, a 1st-century Jewish historian.
- Pontius Pilate governed Judea under Roman rule
- Confirmed by the Pilate Stone (an inscription found in Caesarea).

the list goes on but ill just leave that there with you
So because they were a baby takes away from the fact that they experienced displacement and may have been an orphan. Even if none of them are still around today my point of them being able to share their story and experience still stands regardless.n***a world war one ended in 1918 no one who served in world war 1 is alive now the last verterns died in the 2010's. Of course, it’s just an example. The Ottoman Empire was abolished in 1922. Which could still relate back to the fact people were around to share their stories. Even for older things such as Ancient Mesopotamia like you mentioned in earlier reference there are markings, writings, places of residence, to still prove that they existed. But this is just an example, when i mentioned the first world war, I couldve said anything like the ottoman empire for example my point would still stand, ww1 is just what came to mind first
Ancient Mesopotamia being documented in the Old Testament is reliable but it doesn’t necessarily make me believe it is a book for “history.” If I remember correctly Ancient Mesopotamia was in the Bible because it was Abraham’s homeland, the region where Jacob sojourned, and where the Israelites were enslaved. I’m sure these many other reason but I mainly want to focus on the fact that these people have no verifiable evidence of being real. Of course there can be mentions of real places in the Bible, but does that itself make it historical simply because of that?Old Testament / Hebrew Bible

Apostle Paul and his missionary journey is a good example of why the Bible could be a historical book. Although there are speculations that Apostle Paul is a false prophet. If I’m not mistaken Paul wrote the New Testament? There are still lots of his journeys under debate on whether if it’s worthy or not, but I’ll give it to you.

Jesus is not a good enough example for me as to why the Bible is proof of anything.ummm if the bible foretold jesus and events today its prettty proof. wtf
