sci-fi is pretty cool, are you more into the worldbuilding or the story part of it more?
I'm focusing more on the symbolism of everything tbh I think the best stories can both be taken as a lesson not just a story whilst remaining entertaining and sensical in both forms

What are your thoughts
Only listened to the first three albums
KEA is a pretty great debut with memorable tracks like Four Horsemen and seek and destroy, like I said it's great but the next twos are imo on another level

Ride the listening is one of the best albums I've heard. Not only did Metallica expand their subject matter from KEA but it's an upgrade in riffs, memorablity and versatility. Fade to Black brought me a tear when I first listened to it. I love nearly all tracks on this album, it's fucking amazing and a must listen for every music fan in general.

Master of Puppets is imo a perfect album. Every tracks bangs, all with a consistent theme of manipulation that entraves humanity (religion, addiction, mental health, war). Where Ride The Lightening excelled, Master of Puppets did a little bit better imo. Really it's a normie fav I know but it's just too good.

post-hxc and emoviolence. not quite twin but like cousin
Emoviolence and Screamo are very similar, same as posthardcore and riot-grll

don quixote and der steppenwolf really hit me for these reasons. i've admittedly never read sci-fi but if you're willing to share i'd like to see what you've written
