I don’t think anything that is good happens cause of god n*****s have free will n all that if god took a stand on everything “bad” then free will wouldn’t be a thing

i'm not religious and don't believe in God personally but I always found mfs asking these dumb arbitrary questions as a sort of "gotcha moment" for religious people stupid

but is it still free will if everything is planned out for you. like when you got on this earth he already knew what you were going to do. and some people have issues and cant control the things they do

Yeah it’s retarded
I guess epicurus has a good argument questioning how evil and God could exist simultaneously
Still there’s a lot of layers to religion athiests just disregard and dont fully understand

i think its pretty clear if not then explain

Personally I believe there has to be a creator
I don’t think he would hold any morality whatsoever though
His purpose would be solely to create, he wouldn’t be concerned with good and evil or the fate of human affairs
That’s just a theory
I don’t think the morality religion teaches is bad tho, it keeps people in check and gives them meaning
it’s essential for people who struggle to find meaning without guidance

Probably the best way to see that is to think of it as a god perspective

For a human it would be impossible to imagine how he could see everything planned out but I’d assume a godly being sees everything in past present and future at once so they would know what will happen

Doesn’t mean ur not free if ur future is already written in stone just that by a gods perspective ur whole trajectory is visible

to answer the question and any similar question, bad things happening to a person doesn't mean that god isn't all loving

god gave us free will, and that free will includes the choice to sin, bad things happening isn't god's fault, if God were to prevent bad things from happen then would we truly have free will? the person getting beaten is a result of human sin not god's will

and the whole concept of religion is weird like some guy got a revalation and then wrote a book abt it like is that not shizophrenia
also there was no way jesus was born and mary was a virgin like she had an affair

Then they bring up shit like natural disasters

cliffe knechtle's explanation on why god allows suffering is pretty good, he said God created us to love him and for love to be real it must be by free will, a robot can't love but we can because we have free will, if you HAVE to love something, then that isn't love, love has to be a free decision of human will

n*****s be laugh reacting ANYTHING 💔

n***a tbh the way I see it is after u die ur gonna find out

So if being an atheist leads to hell I might as well be religious

And if after u die u cease to exist that’s gonna happen either way so I don’t see the appeal of being atheist if ur just dooming urself in the long run if a god actually exsists

Exactly n***a theres no point of hating on religious people as an athiest because they have nothing to lose when an athiest has absolutely everything to lose if religions are correct

Personally why does it matter
Whether he exists or not doesn't change the fact he doesn't do shit anyway

Bro could come down from the heavens and I'd still rather pray to Jenna Ortega's feet than him.

Mm yummy yummy toes

this is a very commonly asked question made by atheists and agnostics. it may seem like this is too much but you should really read this. it answers your question in extreme depth while answering any sort of comebacks you may have:

https://plato.stanford.edu/entries/evil/

God's actual "plan" for us, in Christianity, is to be in eternal life in Heaven with Him. His plan is not to make the life you live on Earth a perfect one. in this religion, your life and true happiness starts when you get to be alongside Him after you pass

Im not a Christian now but I was raised catholic and this is a terrible argument. Prayer is not a shopping list, never was.

there’s too many different gods and religions for this to be feasible, and in order to get to heaven you have to truly believe and change your whole lifestyle

yeah like I’m atheist in the sense that I don’t believe in modern day religions like Christianity and Islam. I think those are man made and that god probably wouldn’t even resemble humans at all. but in terms of overall creation I’m probably more agnostic
