I would cause you're basically fucked if you have some kind of severely debilitating condition/accident/whatever. Most people won't have an enjoyable life because they don't have a good enough income to enjoy life or hell even accommodate themselves correctly. I enjoy being active, I enjoy learning things, if my condition would interference, I wouldn't have anything making life enjoyable. Nobody's gonna love you either, you wont have any friends, but that getting in too deep.

on the topic of mental health issues they just severely diminish your quality of life and tend to be incurable.

They do it with certain handicapped victims etc, why not mental health issues?

no because it implies that people with mental health issues are beyond help and that theres no point
someone who has SAD (seasonal affective disorder) may want to die in winter but feel fine in the summer, someone with bipolar or BPD may have a depressive episode and want to die
people with mental health issues come out of phases of wanting to die and being somewhat stable, a terminally ill person who is slowly and painfully dying will never recover so it is different

If I'm not mistaken it's actually legal in some countries if you suffer from certain mental illnesses. I remember seeing a thread on SaSu where a girl with a severe case of Ocd got some sort of appointment to end her life. She wasn't even sad about the whole ordeal, she enjoyed her life but she simply couldn't go on for any longer.

I'm not a fan of suicide and i don't encourage it, but people should have a choice whether they want to live or not.
