You have to be close to normal in order to date because there ups and downs, happy might be a big stretch because we aren't happy all the time.

Also loving someone can give you some joy and some purpose in life alongside your own personal life. But it fails because people (mostly women) want to be loved and not to love someone, be the prize but not being equally each-other prize in the relationship, who just lead to resentment if the other person start to logically thinking
