It just depends on how strict they are. Overall, id say yes, because they help with discipline and teach their kids good lessons. Most who say no r prolly just mad mommy has a bedtime for them

good tbh. i had the inclination to be a lazy fuck, and my parents didn't really care about that if i did decently in school etc. now i just have a hard time focusing on tasks

Depends on how strict.
I’d rather have strict parents than parents who don’t gaf about what I do.

almost always harmful, unless the child is extremely low inhib



The strict parent will prevent the kid from having a normal life, and taking normal risks that any kid would (using a phone in class, skipping class, etc)


Not saying you should do this regularly, it's about the psychological ability to do so. The average kid with a helicopter parent is psychologically incapable of doing "bad"/"risky" things, which is the issue

but it’s usually good and teaches discipline but sometimes it can be harmful, like never letting ur kids go out and stuff

i think there obviously needs to be a balance between the two. overly strict will do nothing for the kid, and too relaxed is terrible too
