My best friend is actually autistic. She is awkward socially. I was her only "true" friend in real life and it's been like that since. I don't consider them inferior or superior. Each autistic person is different. I've met extremely intelligent autistic people which is cool bc I learn something. My best friend is more of the shy type. But we are both ig different so we get along. I think it is good to an extent. But I havent read much on it. I'm just going based on what i know
