God is divine, he has emotion thats past human comprehension. (educated guess not backed by facts) He doesnt rely on a body in order to preform actions and to feel things.

these foreign n*****s get disagreed with then all of the sudden they have to make it about nationality and race. I made statements supported by biblical evidence and biblical scholars without fallacy, and attempted to explain something to this guy, then he goes out of his way to insult me because he doesnt agree the complex is insane.

If its really that hard for you to understand how an all powerful being and feel without a body then maybe its time to think a little harder about things.. You cant apply human logic to something that isn't human

Jesus himself said that as Christians there is trouble in the world and you should hold faith.

“In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” - John 16:33

Also, he says that if you don’t belong to this world (ie having faith and rejecting earthly desires) you will be hated by this world.

“If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.” - John 15:18 - 19



Belief doesn’t equal an absolute truth. I could believe whole heartedly in the earth being flat, doesn’t mean it’s true.

Being Christian isn’t even enough. Jesus criticised and will throw away the lukewarm Christians.

“I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.” - Revelation 3:15 - 16

the flat earth comparison is great. makes sense to say belief alone doesnt make something true. i dont think most people of faith would argue that belief exists in a vacuum either. what makes Christian faith meaningful to me is living outside of that belief, rather than the faith itself. i live it out through action, growth, having a relationship with something greater in general, etc

the revelation 3 passage about lukewarm Christians is just saying that passive or performative faith lacks the transformative force it’s meant to have, and I agree. Jesus is rejecting complacency, because if you claim to have faith, why arent you doing anything about it? I would disagree when you say being Christian isn’t “enough,” because it only calls out the people who do not practice what they supposedly believe in. and practicing can mean a number of things: wrestling with doubt, doing good, aligning yourself with something beyond self interest, etc

in John 16:33 hes saying that life is hard but there’s a reason not to give up. the "being hated by the world" part in John 15 is more about how humility and grace can be in a world driven by ego and power. to me, it all depends how you look at it

I’m kind of tired to actually have a rebuttal (sorry ), but this stood out to me.

Interpretation breeds uncertainty, uncertainty turns into fear, and fear turns into blind faith.

That’s how I feel about religion, the oldest lie crafted during a time of scientific unknowing. There was a need for a great inherent purpose, it was a tool used to control the masses. Dogma.

no. I was raised methodist but dunno. We stopped going after I got punished for asking too many questions during youth lecture

I can agree with you for the most part. I struggle with religion honestly. I was an atheist for most of my life. But catholicism is a choice I've been making for a few years and it's helped me
