Does highschool even matter?

Are highschool friends and relationships even real? Should I care? Does it matter if I got no social life?

Most people would say it matters, because feeling/being lonely hurts. Some will say it does not matter, because when high school ends you probably won’t talk to them after. It all depends on the person and how you will be able to handle your emotions.

Will you be okay with sitting alone and doing stuff by yourself? Or would you prefer someone to be next to you.

Stopped caring in the middle of the school year when I realized none of the friendships are real ppl here are only friends because they see each other everyday

Only care about not being completely friendless so I don't appear like a loser and I mostly talk with the smarter ppl

I kept my highschool friends for 2-3 years max after graduating
However Im still close with 2 people from hs now im 21

No one is going to pick on you because you sit alone, if anything people will more than likely try to be your friend.

Oh, the same thing happened to me. It depends on the school you go to, if the school is bigger they won’t, if it’s smaller they will. You also go to high school so it’s bound to be bigger than usual. There’s plenty of loners in high school.
