Psl and appeal are correlated but not the same.

If you're in a niche automatic appeal boost and as stated smv too can boost appeal

In my opinion psl is more about ratios, and appeal contains smv as in having a lot of money or having status will be appealing to women.

They are dissociated because someone like Benny Blanco can be appealing to women although im sure he doesn't have much psl, because his status and money will attract.

You can't rate somebody "x psl" because it is not what really matters.

Psl helps with appeal but you need smv to actually pull
