Absolutely, it can change as long as you put in genuine effort. Personally, it feels stranger to believe that existence just ends than to believe in another life after this. If this world was created with purpose, then there must be a system of reward afterward, otherwise, the tests we go through would be meaningless. Like in school, there’s a clear beginning of the test, birth and a clear end, death. Followed by the announcement of results: the afterlife.Do you think it's possible to get rid of this mindset? I'm not entirely sure but I am open to the idea it can be changed somehow, someday.
You see, that's how I feel about the afterlife. I think it makes more sense that there's nothing, that we tell each other stories of the good so that we don't feel overwhelmingly hopeless when we enter nothingness after death. (Not saying Qur'an is a story that people invented, I do believe it to be the word of God, so I know I can't just write it off, but still.. I just can't shake off the feeling).
